Gwen Stefani Didn't Design It

We would never have pegged Gwen Stefani as one of those celebrities (or people, for that matter) who'd take credit for work not her own. But turns out, Stefani may have been caught in her own web. According to The Cut, the dress Stefani wore in Cannes, which she widely claimed credit for—telling a reporter, "In choosing [a dress for amfAR], we just said, 'Let's make one,' which is a whole other job in itself."—was actually made by designer Michael Angel."

"Angel is no under-the-radar young designer—his business has been most definitely on the radar and thriving for years. He even shows every season on the official New York fashion week schedule."
"The dress Stefani wore was from Angel's Fall 2010 collection, but instead of crediting him, the dress was billed as "a creation of her own, by L.A.M.B."
